What I wish someone had told me when I first encountered the Gene Keys

TL;DR: I don’t have to know what everything means from the get-go

When I was looking for purpose

My first encounter with the Gene Keys was in 2021. I had been running a business with my husband for 6 years at that time.

I was feeling unfulfilled.
I was desperate to be of service
To help others in some meaningful way.
But the thing was…

I didn’t know how.

I couldn’t see how I could help anyone when I didn’t have anything to offer to the world.

The first time I saw my Gene Keys profile

It was then I found a certification course to be a Paid To Be You Facilitator. That was when I laid my eyes on my Gene Keys profile for the first time.

I was eager to gobble it all up (like Astrology reading and personality test you know?) Like, “I want to know who I am, where my strengths are, and what my purpose is!

The profile had all these circles, lines and words. It’s like a map. A puzzle.

And I’ve no idea where to begin if not for the PDF guide that came with it.

I tried to make sense of everything in one go. But as you’d have guessed, it’s no good at all rushing through it.

I’ve no idea how to apply the information to what I was seeking for:
Service and Purpose.

What I later realised

Much later, I found out that, as a beginner in Gene Keys, I didn’t have to know what everything means.

And that there are a few ways that I could have started.

  • Ways to understand myself more deeply

  • Ways to change my outlook on life

Here are 2 ways that I could have played with my Gene Keys profile:

1. What stood out

If there’s one particular thing that stands out to you (e.g. sphere, word, Gene Key, line)…

Focus on understanding just how that one thing plays out in your life.

That alone is enough to change your worldview.

2. Start with the Golden Path

It’s where you go through your profile through the three sequences:

- Activation Sequence: where you discover your 4 prime gifts
- Venus Sequence: where you unlearn childhood conditionings and open your heart
- Pearl Sequence: where you bring your gifts out into service into the world and enjoy your version of prosperity

It’ll be like a journey through your inner consciousness, or what I call our inner adventure.

Looking back

There are also free resources on genekeys.com to get you started on your inner journey.

I’ve listed the ones that I’ve tried and recommended in the link above.

Looking back, it has been a fun journey through the Gene Keys.

Especially after I learned to take a lighter approach towards my inner work.

Each little aspect of the Gene Keys profile has brought up so much awareness and realisations for me.

I now understand myself more deeply… Both my shadow patterns and the innate gifts I bring to the world through being me.

And I plan to share more of these stories and insights with you through my writing.

I hope you’ll enjoy them. And take away the insights you need from them.
